Clay Walker Selected As Member Of 2009 Healthcare Heroes

Sep 25, 2009

Clay Walker was honored today by the Nashville Business Journal in a special awards luncheon as a member of the Class of 2009 Healthcare Heroes in the Community Leader category. The luncheon took place at the Sheraton Downtown Nashville.  Walker was selected for the honor based on his work in the local and national multiple sclerosis communities through his nonprofit charity Band Against MS (BAMS).  To date, BAMS has raised more than $2 million in an effort to fund important research that may one day lead to a cure for MS.

About Clay Walker: Clay Walker made his country music debut in 1993 with his smash hit “What’s It To You,” which quickly climbed to #1 on the Billboard charts.  Since then, he has sold over 11 million albums, had 11 #1 hit singles, and each year his concert tour continues to excite crowds all across the U.S. For more information about Clay Walker, visit http://www.claywalker.com.
